Georgian Bay Cheer Athletics (GBCA) is the first business dedicated to the sport of Cheerleading in the Grey Bruce area. GBCA will offer both recreational and competitive Cheerleading opportunities for all ages, body types and genders - no experience necessary! This business will offer youth the opportunity to build character and confidence, both mentally and physically, through the sport of cheerleading. ​

SOMETHING TO CHEER ABOUT.

The Cheerleading industry in Canada is new and exciting and because of this more and more cheerleading teams, organizations and businesses alike are popping up across the country. The sport is popular among youth for both male and female athletes as it ties together fitness and presentation while focusing on technique and team spirit. All of these characteristics are beneficial in growing strong, confident youth – and a little sparkle doesn’t hurt! With over 50 All-star cheerleading clubs in Canada, it is obvious that the demand for alternative sports is on the rise. 

Even the International Olympic Committee has recognized Cheerleading as an official sport and it is currently advocating having Cheerleading become part of the Olympic Games. When that happens, the sport of Cheerleading will finally be recognized for its true level of difficulty, and all of the athletes and business owners who helped build and fight for this sport will be rewarded. Now that will be something to cheer about!  ​​
